Artist Bio
I'm an artist born north of Chicago. My works invoke a spiritual presence and make meaning through story telling. I am influenced by the way stories inform us where we come from and how things come in the natural world. Art has been a way for me to release my anxiety and to gain confidence and self discovery . That's what lead me to discovering my Irish roots along with my love nature- both elements thematically present themselves with winding Celtic knot designs and hand carved relief prints. Much of my subject matter is based around mythology and narrative story telling.
I graduated with degrees from Oakton Community College , and then Northeastern Illinois University where he graduated with a BFA in printmaking. My work is primarily linocut relief printmaking with other various artistic elements involved such as ink pens and collages.
Many of his biggest influence in Art was medieval illuminated texts as well as Gothic stain glass, as well as illustrators such as Audrey Beardsley, M.C Escher, Albrecht Durer, and Erete.
